It was good to be in worship with the wonderful congregation of the Shiloh Church today!
I led the congregation in corporate singing, which is always a joy.
Glad to have all of our guests in worship today.
We celebrated the Lord’s Table in both of our worship services.
Our team prepared a video of the to mark the 5th anniversary of my call to Shiloh. Very moving.
I continued my series on Revelation 2-3. I preached from Revelation 2:18-29 – “Be Careful What You Tolerate.”
This text is the longest of the letters to the seven churches. But it is written to the most insignificant city and church.
SERMON POINT: The Lord will rebuke the church that tolerates sin and error.
There are five persons or groups in the letter of the church at Thyatira that emphasize the importance of intolerance:
- The Lord Jesus Christ (2:18)
- The Church at Thyatira (2:19)
- Jezebel (2:20-23)
- The Remnant (2:24-25)
- The Conquerors (2:26-29)
Praise God for those who were added to the church today.
The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Minnesota Vikings, 27-23. It is good for the Cowboys to win one in the final minutes of the game, rather than the other way around.
I predict the Jacksonville Jaguars will win at least three games in the second half of the season.
The Kansas City Chiefs are 9-0. But I still do not believe in them. Let’s see what happens when they play the Broncos twice in three weeks.
NBA basketball is back! Go Heat!
The fact that the Miami Heat lost two games in a row is not a reason to panic whatsoever. Nothing helps a team to get back on track like playing the Washington Wizards.
How was your Sunday? How did your teams do this weekend?
