Thanks to Pastor Lawrence Vaughn and the Mt. Sinai Church of Port Arthur for the opportunity to preach their summer revival.

So here’s the “accident” I had this week. I bumped my head on a speaker shelf in the auditorium before church Wednesday night. Hard. Really hard. Very painful. A little bloody. Extremely embarrassing. Thanks for your prayers and concern, Shiloh!

I appreciate those who have shown initial interest in the expository preaching conference I plan to host at the Shiloh Church next year – September 24-26, 2014. Please remember the planning process in your prayers. And mark your calendar to join us!

The SBTS Expositors Summit will take place at October 29-31. You don’t want to miss it.

Buy and read A Guide to Expositional Ministry, edited by Dan Dumas and written by SBTS authors. Great Read.

The 2013 Thriving Summit will meet in Philadelphia, October 11-12. Hope to see you there.

Pray your worries away. Don’t worry. Pray. Turn your worries into prayers. Take everything off your worry list and put it on your prayer list. Whenever you start to worry, stop and pray. Give each worry – one by one – to God in prayer. – H.B. Charles, Jr., It Happens After Prayer, p. 139
