A big shout-out to A. Francis, who serves as the receptionist and administrative assistant at the Shiloh Church. Happy Birthday! And thanks for all that you do.

Thanks to the pastors of Pensacola for the opportunity to minister the word during their Pensacola Citywide Revival for the second year. I preached to myself most of the week. But I trust the Lord used the messages to bless and build up those who attended.

Several members of Shiloh who have moved to Pensacola were in attendance. It was a great encouragement to see familiar faces.

Monday, November 5, will mark 22 years since the night I was called to pastor my first church – Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church of Los Angeles. It was on a Monday night. I was 17-years-old. I went on to serve that wonderful congregation for almost 18 years. Philippians 1:3.

Likewise, this coming week will mark 4 years since I was installed as the pastor of the Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church. It has been a great adventure of faith. But I am blessed beyond words to serve such a great people. I pray the Lord will give me many more years of fruitful labor among the precious saints of Shiloh.

Shout out to Pastor Charlie E. Dates for writing a guest post for me this week. He concern for biblical convictions in the pulpit is timely.

Logos 5 has just been released! I guess I am old school, in that I prefer to use books. But when I do use software study material, I prefer Logos.
