I had a more than 10-hour flight from Rome to Atlanta Saturday. Then another hour home. Wiped out!
I should not preached. I was really tired. But I pressed on.
I was so glad to be home with my family and to worship with the Shiloh Church family.
I was also glad to have our guests, including the family reunion that joined us for worship.
Praise God for the four persons who were baptized today!
Shout-out to our Pastor of Outreach, Reginald Bryant, for teaching my Bible Study Fellowship for me over the past several weeks.
I preached from Colossians 3:8-11: “Taking Off Sinful Ways.” I argued that you cannot put on the ways of Christ (vv. 12-14), until you take off sinful ways.
I explained the text around three questions:
- What does it mean to put off sinful ways?
- What sins must we put off?
- Why should we put off sinful ways
Praise God for those who were saved and added to the church today!
Nope. I did not get back to Daniel. But I will. I trust. God willing.
I flew to Milwaukee Sunday afternoon to preach at the Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Breaking News: NFL football is back!!!
The Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars both lost preseason games. But it’s only preseason. Or so I hope.
So… Tiger Woods choked again at a majors championship.
How was your Sunday?
